The Rite of Consignment to the Turgid Places

The Practitioner must draw a banishing pentacle with his right hand. The efficacy of this pentacle is greatly increased if the sorcerer possesses a single terminated crystal of quartz. The pentacle should be envisioned in purple fire. Once the pentacle has been drawn and energized, you must face the spirit and look it in the eyes, or what passes for same.

"Thou! I name thee (Insert spirit's name here)
Thou art a trouble to the eye and a sickness in the world. I bid thee remove thyself from these fields and return to thy home. Come not unbidden to this realm again. Go ye hence troublesome spirit or be consigned to the turgid place and know neither rest nor succor for an eternity.
Go! I command you in the names of the twelve kings."

If the spirit does not depart in the space of seven breaths, then speak the following:
"Thus, for your defiance, take up the yoke of thy measurement and be rent in the place of judgment. I consign you to the Turgid Places for rest of your span and may your ephemera be ground fine. In the name of the twelve kings, I abjure you!"

When the spirit has departed, mark its last position and when time permits have it cleansed and consecrated according to the old rites.
